DAY 1: BOSTON-INT. STOP-ATHENS ~ Depart Boston's Logan Airport on our transatlantic flight to Athens, with an intermediate stop. Dinner and breakfast will be served aloft. Free headsets for our listening and viewing enjoyment will be provided. Beverage service is also available.
DAY 2: ATHENS ~ We will be transported from the airport in Athens to our hotel for check-in. The remainder of the afternoon is at our leisure to freshen-up and relax prior to our orientation meeting and welcoming drink prior to dinner. (D)
DAY 3: ATHENS ~ Following breakfast at the hotel, we are off on a morning sightseeing tour of Athens, featuring many of the most important sites in this ancient capital: the Temple of Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, the Acropolis (including the famous Parthenon and Temple of Athena), the Acropolis Museum, and the Presidential Palace. The afternoon is free for shopping, relaxation, or touring on our own. Dinner is included this evening. The rest of the evening is at our leisure to enjoy the lively atmosphere of the tavernas and night clubs! (B, D)
DAY 4: DELPHI ~ After breakfast, we will depart our hotel driving through the towns of Levadia and Arachove (famous for its bright multicolored carpets). We then continue on to Delphi on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. Here we will walk on the ancient sacred way to the Temple of Apollo and then, on to the Museum where we can see, among many other archaeological treasures, the unique bronze statue of the Charioteer! Next, we will visit the Athenian Treasury and Castalia Springs. Lunch will be in Delphi with an early evening return to our hotel. Dinner this evening is included. (B, L, D)
DAY 5: MYKONOS ~ After breakfast, we will have some free time for shopping, and then we'll transfer to the pier to board our vessel for the afternoon departure. We'll be heading for the jet-set haven of Mykonos today. We'll arrive in Mykonos in time for sightseeing and some time to enjoy the nightlife. (B, L, D)
DAY 6: RHODES ~ Today we visit the island of Rhodes, with its stunning array of Byzantine, Roman, Greek, and Crusader architecture. Roam the walled medieval town, climb the Acropolis in beautiful Lindos, and enjoy the beaches and olive groves. (B, L, D)
DAY 7: PATMOS & KUSADASI ~ We begin the day with a visit to the island of Patmos, then it's on to Kusadasi. This popular Turkish resort offers miles of sandy beaches and bazaars brimming with Turkish goods. Take an optional excursion to the showplace of Aegean archaeology and one of the grandest ancient sites in the world. (B, L, D)
DAY 8: ATHENS-CORINTH ~ We return to port in the morning and disembark. Today we'll have a full-day excursion to Coritnth, Mycenae, and Epidaurus. Overnight at our hotel in Athens. (B, D)
DAY 9: ATHENS-INT. STOP-BOSTON ~ After breakfast, we will be transported to the airport where we will board
our return flight to Boston (via Intermediate stop). (B)
