OUR TOUR INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

Day 1: BOSTON-INT. CITY-LISBON – Depart Logan Airport for Portugal (with an intermediate stop in en route) including complimentary meal, beverage and stereo headsets while aloft.

Day 2: LISBON – Arrive this morning at Lisbon Airport, where we will be met by our motorcoach and transferred to our hotel, the Aparthotel Eden Estoril (or similar), for check-in, The remainder of the day is at leisure for shopping, individual sightseeing or rest and relaxation. This evening we will have a "Welcome Sangria Party" and dinner at the hotel followed by an orientation meeting. (D)

Day 3: LISBON - Drive to Alto da Serafina Belvedere for a glimpse over Lisbon. Arrive at Belem District to visit the Royal Coaches Museum (the largest collection in the world) and the Jeronimos Monastery (a marvel of stone lacework). We will also stop at the monument to Henry the Navigator and the Tower of Belem. Then it is back to the center of the city to visit the Tropical Greenhouses. Dinner at the hotel this evening. Day 4: OBIDOS-NAZARE-FATIMA-BATALHA - We will visit the beautiful walled village of Obidos. After lunch (included) in Nazare, the most picturesque and colorful of all Portuguese fishing villages, we will continue on to the Batalha Monastery. Next on our agenda is Fatima, one of the centers of Christian pilgrimage. Our return trip to Lisbon will be through the beautiful farming region of Ribatejo. Dinner at the hotel this evening. Day 5: ROMANTIC EXCURSION: QUELUZ-SINTRA-Cabo da roca - Following breakfast, we will visit the Palace of Queluz, with its 18th century halls and gardens. Next, we will drive to Sintra, one of the farming centers of Portugal, where we can visit the Royal Palace. Continuing along the coast, we pass through the seaside resort of Guincho Beach, the fishing village of Cascais, and . Dinner at the hotel. (CB, D)

Day 6: ARRABIDA-SESIMBRA-SETUBAL - Today, we will cross over the Tagus River and catch a glimpse of Lisbon from the "Christ in Majesty" statue. Next, we visit a famous wine cellar in Azeitao, where we will have the opportunity to sample some of the wines. We then stop in Sesimbra, a fishing town and seaside resort, where we can enjoy the splendor of its ancient castle. Our tour next heads across Arrabida Mountain, providing us with a breathtaking view of Setubal. Then it is back to our hotel for dinner and overnight. (CB, D)

Day 7: EVORA – Breakfast at our hotel. After boarding our motorcoach, we head east to the museum town of Evora. The town roots are of ancient Roman origin and its historic district center has been designated as a UNESCO International Heritage Site. Our guided sightseeing will include many of the town’s most important and famous landmarks. Return to Lisbon for a night out in Lisbon at a local restaurant for dinner and an entertaining Fado Show. Overnight at our hotel. (CB, D)

Day 8 : LISBON – Following breakfast at our hotel, the remainder of the morning and afternoon is at leisure for some last minute shopping, individual sightseeing or just relaxing. We will all gather at our hotel this evening for a "Special Farewell Sangria Party". Overnight. (CB, D)

Day 9: LISBON-INT. CITY-BOSTON - After breakfast, we will check-out of our hotel and transfer to the Lisbon Airport for our return transatlantic flight (via an intermediate stop) to Boston. (CB)
