our budapest & prague christmas markets itinerary

^{day 1 – boston-intermediate city: Depart Boston’s Logan International airport aboard our transatlantic flight to Budapest (via an intermediate city) with meal and beverage service en route.}

^{day 2 – budapest: Arrival in Budapest, Hungary where we will be met by our Tour Manager who will assist with our transfer. Arrive at the superior 1st class Grand Hotel Hungaria (or similar) for check-in. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to relax and familiarize ourselves with our surroundings. This evening, we will all gather for a "Welcome Dinner" at our hotel. Overnight. (D)}

^{day 3 – budapest: After breakfast, we will embark on a full-day guided sightseeing tour of romantic Budapest. This morning, we will explore Buda, Castle Hill, and the beautiful Matyas Church. Then, we will proceed to Pest for a wonderful lunch (on our own) at the famous Fakanal Restaurant. Afterwards, we will see the Parliament, Heroes Square, Vajadhunyad Castle, and the famous Szechenyl Thermal Baths. Later, we will visit our first Christmas Market along the "Champs Elysees of Budapest". Dinner on our own. Overnight. (BB)}

^{day 4 – szentendre-budapest: This morning, following breakfast, we will travel to Szentendre, a small village on the Danube. Time at leisure to explore the terrific Christmas Markets here on our own. Return to Budapest later in the afternoon. Free time to relax or visit the Christmas Markets. After dinner at the hotel, our group is invited for a "night out" at either the Opera House or one of the many music halls in Budapest. Overnight. (BB, D)}

^{day 5 – budapest-prague: After breakfast and hotel check-out, we will transfer to the rail station in Budapest to board the train for an enjoyable morning ride to Prague, Czech Republic. Upon arrival in Prague, we will transfer to the deluxe Hotel Crowne Plaza (or similar) for check-in. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore on our own or just relax. Dinner and overnight. day 6 – prague: Following breakfast, we will be hosted on a guided sightseeing tour of Prague, one of the oldest cities in Central Europe. We will visit Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Olde Royal Palace, the Church of Our Lady of the Victory, and the Loreta Church. Our excursion in Prague will continue with a walking tour through Lesser Town, over the famous Charles Bridge, ending in the Main Square of Old Town, location of the fabulous Christmas markets with their fairytale atmosphere. Dinner on our own. Overnight. (BB)

day 7 – prague: The last day of our tour is completely at leisure. Visit the Christmas Markets! Explore the wondrous museums! Stroll along the Vltava River! Do some last-minute shopping! Or just relax! It’s YOUR choice! This evening, after dinner at our hotel, we will attend a Special Christmas Concert at a nearby church or music hall in Prague. Overnight. (BB, D)

^{day 8 - PRAGUE-INTERMEDIATE STOP-boston: After breakfast and hotel check-out, we will be transferred to the airport where we will board our return flight (via an intermediate stop) to Boston. (B)}

• Round trip regularly scheduled flights Boston-Intermediate City-Budapest and Prague-Intermediate City-Boston with full meal and beverage service en route.
